60 yr old Man in serious condition after collision on Highway 404

Traffic delays were seen in Toronto on Highway 404 after a collision occurred Wednesday afternoon. According to Ontario Provincial Police Sgt Kerry Schmidt, there was a two-vehicle crash that involved a passenger car rear-ending a commercial truck on the southbound lanes near highway 7. The collision happened around 3 pm

Schmidt continues to say that the driver of the passenger car, a 60-year-old man, exited the vehicle after the collision and moved across the highway onto the northbound side, and made it to the third lane before inevitably being struck by another vehicle.

Officers were on the scene to investigate and the vehicles involved in the initial collision were moved to the side of the road.

The man was taken to a nearby trauma centre with serious injuries sustained.

Initially, both northbound and southbound lanes were closed but after 6:30 pm, Ontario Provincial Police confirmed all lanes to be reopened.

Crash outside St. Catharines Home leaves Driver in Critical Condition

A car crashed outside a private home in St. Catharines, on Glenridge Road. The driver, a 26-year old man, is believed to have lost control of his Cadillac. And in turn, crashed into a tree in the front yard of the home.
The people within the vicinity rushed to help him after calling 911.

He was taken to a hospital for treatment out of the city and in life-threatening condition. The accident happened on Sunday afternoon.

A head-on collision resulted in the death of one person and two in life-threatening condition. The three were airlifted to a hospital in Orangeville. Later, the two were airlifted to Toronto, while still in critical condition.

The police will examine the black boxes of the vehicles involved in the accident, to help determine the cause of the collision.

According to the Star’s phone conversation with the OPP (Ontario Provincial Police) Const. Paul Nancekivell. It can be that the conditions of the road, could have led to the accident.

Two Vehicle Collide in Ajax leaving a senior man with critical injuries

Yesterday afternoon, a car and a truck crashed near the border of Pickering and Ajax. The truck was pulling a trailer. The passengers of the truck had minor injuries even though the police could not confirm how many they were.

A senior man who was involved in the crash suffered critical injuries. He had to be transported to Sunnybrook Hospital by air. He is in stable condition. Tests are being taken to determine the extent of his wounds.

The accident took place in the Durham region, at Westney and Taunton roads. The police were forced to close the road from Harwood Avenue to Ravenscroft Road.
