Stephen graduated from McMaster University in 2006 with a Bachelors of Arts degree, focused on Anthropology and Archaeology. Stephen attended the University of British Columbia for his law degree. While at the University of British Columbia, he volunteered at the Law Students Legal Aid Program (LSLAP). In LSLAP Stephen helped individuals with Small Claims Court, Criminal and Contract law. He worked in their summer program and became a Program Leader before leaving UBC. Stephen was also involved in the Law School’s Student Government as head of the Articling Program. Stephen graduated with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in 2009.
Stephen moved back to Hamilton, Ontario where he articled at a full service law firm. Stephen’s work mainly centered on Civil Litigation and in particular Insurance Defence work. After articling, Stephen first worked as external counsel practicing mainly in the area of Insurance Defence.
Prior to joining Kalsi & Associates, Stephen worked mainly as an in-house lawyer, first for one of the largest insurance companies in Ontario and finally for a large Municipality in Southern Ontario.Stephen’s work focused on car accidents, slip/trip and falls, property liability, and product liability.
Stephen joined Kalsi & Associates in July of 2017. He is excited to use his knowledge of the insurance industry and his litigation experience to better serve his personal injury clients. Stephen is dedicated to helping hurt individuals obtain their best outcomes from personal injury claims.
Stephen enjoys spending his down time travelling and staying active. He often does Crossfit and other individual sports. In 2017 he ran his first half marathon in Vancouver. He is looking forward to competing in Crossfit, and completing his first marathon and triathlon in 2018.
